I — um, sort of … snuck out. On a week day. After hours. That’s all. It was… Well, embarrassing. Mostly because I tried to reason with Amelia but she was very intent on making me responsible for my actions and she was a bit rude about it. Ohh, pumpkin juice. I’m sold! A mate-date, that sounds brilliant. If only for the pumpkin juice. We can talk about all sorts of things. Like how odd it is that Slughorn is so obsessed with his footwear…

I find fresh air to be very useful. It’s why I love taking Herbology, because at least then I know I have a class period spent outside. It always improves my mood. I suppose it doesn’t work that way for everyone, but I thought it might be worth the suggestion. You don’t know where to find vegetables? There’s a whole section for them. It’s usually my mum’s first step when she goes food shopping. Hm, okay. I’ll talk to him about it.

It’s not bad if anyone sees us there, so long as they don’t see us leaving. Didn’t you mention a secluded spot behind your work?

Alright then, perfect. You know, I’ve found that the assignments are mostly pulled straight from the text. The hardest thing is understanding the theory of it all, so once you figure that out and sort of commit that to memory, the problems aren’t so bad. Honestly, I’m a bit surprised you’re accepting my help. No offense… but you’ve always seemed very standoffish in the five years I’ve had classes with you.

They were hideous shoes anyway, but I don’t think that made him any less mad about it. Especially not when I told him so. He’s making me come in and clean the classroom tonight. Oh, Merlin. That’s no fun at all. I wish I could help you, but I suppose there’s not much I can do. Professor Slughorn can be a bit fussy that way, can’t he? Well, if it makes you feel better I had a detention the other week — in his classroom. Cleaning cauldrons. It’s not the worst, I suppose. We can commiserate after you’re done and eat chocolates or whatever to make you feel better!

You really should get out. Maybe take Dog on a walk. Perhaps the fresh air will help you sort everything out, or something. It’s just a nice idea. Well I hope you’ve been eating at least moderately well… Next time you got the grocery store you should pick up some vegetables. Those are always good to have around.

Yes. It’s interesting! And I’m rather good at it, if you don’t mind my bragging for a moment. Plus it’s nice to have the outside lessons and sometimes it can be very relaxing, depending on what plant we are working on! It depends on the day, with the writing. Some days I like to write more creative things. Other days I fancy myself going into journalism and writing about what I see around me. I’m not sure, really.
